A Message From the Trees

Poetry from the heart to your inbox.

Hello beings!

This week’s eclipse energy has been tumultuous to say the least.

I’m not ready to release my full reflections, so in an effort to keep this sustainable for my energy, I’m sharing a poem I wrote this past week below.

If you can, hit reply and share your past weeks updates with me! I’d love to hear what you’re up to. :)

Love,

Elyza

A Poem From the Forest

I spent the morning communing with the trees.
Singing with the wind. Letting my hums carry its sweet whispers.
The sun shined down on my skin, a prayer to humanity.
My friend the maple tree supported me overhead.
Breath meditation and yoga— everything is renewed.

Who am I beyond the culture of my birthplace?
This time it’s different. I’m listening to the stories of the land.
The trees speak to me in soft knowings. And I don’t shy away like I used to.
I’m ready now to fight for them.
I receive their prayers. I am the forest guardian. We all are.

The soft wind is music for my soul. I am open to receive these prayers.
This medicine. Today my heart feels full of love.
The past days were a test and I passed.
I no longer move with compulsive urgency.
My body speaks through rhythms, through energy flows.
Listening to the signals.

The world pressures me to buy the false dream—
But what if I don’t want to race anymore?
What if I’m okay with the exhaustion if it means honoring my body’s cycles?

“I’m ok with not fitting in,” I say out loud.
An eagle flies overhead. An uncommon omen to this journey.
External boundaries finally feel permeable.
My heart can move across without hesitation.
This is just the beginning. Still so much to come.
